Thoughts
This week was sort of a bust as far as a the scale goes, but I am so excited I made it 5 miles on the treadmill. For two reasons: 1-that's kind of sort of a long way and 2- usually running on the treadmill makes me want to let the damn thing throw me off of it so I can go home. So I am going to focus on the positives. This whole thing is about getting healthy, right. I think I have about as good a chance as becoming a size 2 as a the last bit of fresh salsa has for making through the rest of day.
Friday night we went to the U of U gymnastics meet. It was so cool. It was Daddy Daughter Night, so our whole family got in for free (with a coupon from their website), we parked for free and we got free (temporary) tatoos for the kids!!!!! That made Brett smile so he wasn't even grumpy about buying everyone a treat. I got cinnamon almonds, Grace and Ava shared icecream and a churro. Carter fellin love with the young good looking guy next to us (maybe I did a little bit too) and tried to share his binki and blanket with him. Mr. Hot-23-Year-Old had no idea what to with a slobbery baby binki and an fifteen month old baby staring at him. Oh yeah, that was me staring at him. Anyway this Friday is free admission, if you wear pink, for breast cancer awarness, so if you are looking for something to do, you should go. 7:00 at the Huntsman Center.
Brett and I have been married for thirteen years. We have two daughters and two sons. Grace is nine, Ava is seven and Carter is three and Easton is one.

Yesterday
I have been dieting/ working out for two weeks and I just thought I would share an average day for me. I am down about three pounds in two weeks. Slow but steady, right? If you want to join me in my ten pounds or bust effort I would love to have you along with me. Maybe we could share workouts/ideas.
This is what I did/ate yesterday
45 minutes spin bike
Jillian Michaels 6 week 6 pack
Breakfast
Slice of squaw bread with banana and 1t PB and honey and a glass of milk
Lunch
.5 cup Cottage Cheese .5 cup Greek Yogurt .5 cup mixed berries and handful of triscuits
Dinner
Costco Rotisseiree Chicken, noodles and steamed brocolli
Dessert
3 pears peeled and chopped tossed in 1T lemon juice
3 eggs whipped till fluffy
1 Cup milk
2/3 Cup flour
1/2 Cup sugar
1t vanilla
1/4t nutmeg
pinch of salt
Dump in a greased pan and bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
Serve with a tiny scoop of lite cool whip.
Thoughts
I love Costco chicken and so does my family. One chicken usually makes it two nights around hear, so we are having it again tonight. The desseret was light and sweet, perfect for a diet dessert. And SUPER easy to make. Ava didn't like it , but Grace did. Brett and I will be having another slice tonight while we cuddle and watch our shows.
My chest and back are sore from working them out on Monday. I was supposed to work my arms last night, but with YW I ran out of time, so I will do them tonight. I love 6 week. The first time did it I counldn't breath the next day.

Tonight
My car smells like throw up . . . again for the eighteenth million time (I know that's not a real number, but it's my blog and I can say what I want.) But tonight I don't care. Last week a family in my parent's stake lost their baby in the middle of the night. They just woke up to find that their youngest child had passed on in the middle of the night. I drive by this house on the way to my parent's and every time I do it makes me sick to my stomach. I can't even imagine the heartache being felt inside that home. My heart sincerly goes out to them, espically the mother. Before I heard about this family I was trying to preapre my YW lesson for next month, ironically it is on Eternal Families. If there is any comfort in this horrible tragedy it must be that families are forever, that not even death can seperate us. I wish I could explain how important that is to the YW. I am not sure you really understand how important family is until you are a parent and the depths to which you can actually love another person. I am gonna try to though and I am probably gonna cry (I hate to cry in front of people, particularly the YW ). So tonight I don't care that my car smells like barf, or that the sink is covered in toothpaste and that no one liked dinner. Tonight I am going to go bed happy that I have people to love. Tomorrow we can just go buy an airfreshner. . . .again.

Bowling

Last week we went bowling with Brett's family. It was a blast!!! Kris turned out to be the best bowler of the group with Big Dot coming in a close second. Jayden and Ava tried out some different techniques, and were mighty succesful. Brett, as usual, just threw the ball as hard as he could. Sometimes into the gutter. Mckenzie looked fabulous, as always. Bammy, Meagan and I just did our best to stay out of the camera lens, and we succeded. All in all, greasy pizza, bowling and the Barkdulls are a good combination.

Hmmmmm
Yesterday Ava walked by, slapped me on the butt and said, "Your bummy giggles when I do that." Yeah, guess I know what my New Year's resolution needs to be. Crap. Just when I was starting to really enjoy my diet coke and chocolate diet.
